More Canadian Landscape paintings by Terrill Welch SOLD!

You might be saying “where have you been!?” You would be right to ask of course. It is true. I am finding it hard to squeeze in a new blog post here. I don’t know what to say. Either it is fluke good luck or my art work has gained some momentum.

Since I last posted on March 13, 2013, four more paintings and a medium canvas fine art photography print have been sold. This means that, since the middle of January 2013, a total of eight paintings and three fine art photography prints. This may not sound like much but it represents several thousands of dollars worth of art work. It is enough to get that new canon camera body and lens I have been wishing on and to begin to think about next steps for showing my art work. The other noteworthy aspect of these sales is that all but two were Canadian purchases. My work is usually sold in the reverse ratio with most of it going to buyers in the United States or even Europe rather than my fellow Canadians.

At this rate, I will not be able to continue to share posts about all the specific paintings and photographs that have sold. However, just for fun, lets look at the latest that have found new homes.

This photograph of Edith Point, Mayne Island,  in a medium size canvas print was purchases as a housewarming gift and is on its way to Vancouver, B. C. Canada.

The same collector also purchased an 8 x 10 inch oil on canvas painting, PEARS IN WINTER FIRST LIGHT for their own art collection.

Another art collector from Victoria B.C. Canada purchased these two paintings to be hung as a pair in her office.

These three paintings were purchased with basic show frames and are ready to hang in their new locations. Framing is not something I often do and I do not recommend it for buyers that need to have their paintings shipped. However, it is a nice option for local sales and when visitors come directly to my home studio to pick up their art.

This final work that sold, PLUM SPRING, is an 8 x 10 inch oil on gessobord small study. The painting found its new collector within 2:24 minutes of being shared in its “resting” state and it is still awaiting its final photograph.

The Vancouver Island art collector who purchased this painting has been looking for a while waiting for “her painting” to come off my easel. When it did, she knew right away and wasted not even a minute in letting me know. She told me if she had seen in any quicker she would have inquired to purchase it that much sooner. It might be what we call love at first sight. 😉 This is the second painting I have completed recently which has sold within 24 hours of when I have set it aside to rest.

It all means I must keep those brushes moving and the shutter clicking! Not a hardship really 🙂

Here is one of my latest paintings which is completed but has not yet been released for sale yet. I just want to keep it for a while and enjoy the rolling of the waves as they push up against the shore. But I thought you might enjoy seeing the completed work just the same.
