First, Happy New Year and all the best in 2014!
With fifty finished works, many already sold, and several of these paintings three feet by six feet or greater, I found it a challenge to decide on a personal selection of just 13 paintings to designate as my best 13 paintings of 2013. However, the job is done and it gives me great pleasure to share my choices with you on the eve of a New Year.
In no particular order….

So there we have it! My deep and heartfelt thank you to art collectors who added on of my paintings to their collection in 2013. As an artist, it was a good year and one I will remember fondly.

My personal selection of my best 13 paintings in 2013 – Happy New Year!
Terrill – I was all ready, completely set to tell you which of the 13 is my personal favorite and I just can’t do it. They’re ALL equally incredible!
Laurie, Leanne just told me the same thing over on the reblog at Creative Potager. I understand and I think this may be a good thing 🙂
Terrill – A very good thing, indeed 🙂
I think that all your paintings have much power and energy but my favorite is #1; it took my breath away! Happy New Year to you and thank you for sharing your work.
You are most welcome Gretchen 🙂 The painting of STORM WATCHING was a take-your-breath-away kind of moment. To give you an idea about what I mean, here is the link to the work-in-progress and reference background photography shoot for this painting http://creativepotager.wordpress.com/2013/12/09/storm-watching-and-its-progress-on-a-large-canvas
Thank you! Much enjoyed!
I’ll force myself to pick the bonus selection as my absolute favorite -love how you bring in color so ravishingly- but ask me tomorrow and I’ll choose another. I absolutely adore “Arbutus on Mt. Parke,” “Tulips Springwater Deck II,” and “Plum Apple and Mostly Sunflowers.” But heck with a stacked deck like this how can one be visually short-changed? Ha!
My wishes for the very best year ever for you and David, Terrill.
Sam Happy New Year to you and your family and Wonders in the Dark family as well! A stacked deck hey? I would apologize but in this case I think it is a good thing 😉 So glad you stopped by Sam and made some choices of your own.
They’re all so lovely Terrill! Thank you for sharing your amazing art with such heart. All the best for the New year!
You are welcome Chiarina and thank you for being part of what is great about 2013. All the best in the year ahead!
This is stunning and I am so happy to look at it on the big computer screen rather than my smart phone….lovely and I so appreciate your sharing it with us WOW
Your paintings are filled with such color and vibrancy so you can almost feel the energy of the earth in your work.
Your words Barbara ring strong and true to my painting intentions. I am glad the brushstrokes and colour hit their mark 🙂
