ORIGINAL PAINTINGS (oil paintings and acrylic sketches)
PRINTS AND MERCHANDISE (photography and paintings)
Between January 2010 and July 2017, more than 100 Terrill Welch original paintings of various sizes found their way into private collections. From July 2017 to the end of 2021 this number had more than doubled. And this is just the beginning of her full-time painting career. Many of these paintings have sold while still work-in-progress or resting wet on the easel. In August 2017, the first bricks and mortar Terrill Welch Gallery opened and Terrill no longer discloses the specific number of works sold. The best way to determine which paintings are currently available is to browse her online Artworks Archive Gallery. Please note, if you find a work of interest, do not hesitate. To avoid disappointment, send an inquiry to have a desired work placed on a hold or make a request to purchase immediately. We like to avoid seeing sad faces in favour of witnessing smiling, excited art collectors.
Here is a short synopses of Terrill’s story in her own words….
Having first started with oil paints in my early teen years, I then painted in water colours for a long while before decided to return to oils in 2010. These were not just any oils but water mixable and walnut oil paints. I always liked oil paints but not the toxic odor issues. About the same time, I purchased a good quality camera and began some serious shooting. After more than three decades of pursuing and exhibiting my art work, I was now, for the first time, able to focus full-time on my artistic adventure.
To my humble surprise, my work has always sold and it continues to sell. Paintings and photographs are mostly with collectors in Canada and the U.S.A. But some have found their way to England, Switzerland, Norway and Australia. Paintings have been purchased by collectors who also have historic Canadian landscape paintings by Emily Carr, A.Y. Jackson and Lawren Harris. I wonder what will be the next?
Below is a very small sampling of my artworks from near the beginning of this full-time artist’s journey that are now cast about the world. My deep and appreciative thanks to all who now call my paintingstheir own.
