END OF TODAY small Canadian landscape sunset painting

The low clouds and mist tumbled freely with the setting sun by the sea. END OF TODAY  is an oil paint rendering of another Mayne Island sunset in the southern Gulf Islands on the west coast of Canada.

Update April 16, 2013: This painting is no longer available.

This wee 5 x 7 inch Canadian Landscape is an uncommon find in my online offers. I usually keep them for local collectors but this painting seemed suitable to share for those with a small wall space or just beginning to collect original art. A natural wood frame is optional for inclusion with this painting.

Road to Everyday – Canadian landscape painting

The heavy fog on the road this day – this painting is an interpretation of common-place stillness that is clearly visible in my sensory memory. It is a time when deep quiet comes to dripping woods along the sea. Though this scene may possibly be mapped for hundreds and even thousands of years into the collective history of humankind, still I paint it. I paint this common-place Canadian landscape because it pleases me.

An interview with Terrill Welch by Charles van Heck

Every once in a long while someone reaches out and gently grasps your elbow to steer you over to a quiet spot where they can ask evocative questions. Such has been my experience in being interviewed by writer Charles van Heck! When someone is really listening in a deep and meaningful way I often have lots to say – so this in not a short read. However, I hope you will find it an interesting one. Enjoy!
